The Torrington Volunteer Fire Department held its annual awards banquet at the Elks Club on February 7, 2009.  A well cooked meal was provided and award presentations followed.  The following firefighters were awarded the following awards:

Firefighter of the Year:  Specialist Jeff Schick

Rookie of the Year: Firefighter Cody Scott

Chief's Award: Specialist Kent Kelly

Special Persons Award: Jerome King- Wyoming State Fire Marshals; State Trainer.
